Tia Mowry is holding onto some special memories.
As the Sister, Sister alum navigates single life following her split from ex Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage, she revealed what she plans to do with her wedding bands and how it involves their son Cree, 13, and daughter Cairo, 6.
"I haven't worn it for almost two years now and it just doesn't feel right to sell it," Tia explained on the Oct. 11 episode of her show Tia Mowry: My Next Act. "But what I am wanting to do is change my wedding band into something for my kids."
"Pass it down because they have been my biggest gift," she continued in her emotional reflection. "It has just been sitting there. It was very pretty. If it's made into something else, then it's put to use."
Although the 46-year-old reframed her perspective on repurposing the ring for her kids, it's still a difficult experience.
She added, "It's sad because this is a symbol of a marriage and it's no longer."
Nonetheless, the decision is part of The Game alum embracing being single and finding herself after her divorce, which was finalized in April. But she previously noted that finding love again isn’t part of that journey yet.
"Right now, it's not something that I'm focusing on," she told E! News earlier this month. "I'm just really focusing on myself, dating myself. I'm in this era of just self-discovery and learning more about love, learning what love is."
She is open to the idea in the future, though.
"My outlook could change next month or five months from now," she shared. "But dating, I guess what I can say, if I'm being truly authentic, it's not on my mind right now."
It's a daunting step for Tia since she revealed that Cory was her "everything" during the premiere of her reality show.
"I wasn't even allowed to date until I was 18 years old," she noted during a confessional. "I met Cory when I turned 20 and I lost my virginity at 25. There, I said it! And then we got married! Boom!"
However, she's continued to look at the positives, even during the lowest points of the breakup.
"I feel that right now, yes, I am vulnerable in my life, but it's the first time where I am realizing I have a choice," she said. "I have a choice to speak my mind. I have a choice to be me. I have a choice to be happy."
